What are your goals?
My goals are to gain more exposure ,to work on perfecting my craft every day and ultimately to have the majority of my income come from sales of my work. I really want to share my creations with everyone so they can enjoy what I enjoy through my art.
What are you working on now?
Right now I have a few paintings going on at once. One in particular is a window display of wedding gowns at a local bridal shop. I drove by the shop at night, and I just loved how the spotlights illuminated the dresses.
What inspires you?
My inspiration comes from many places; a quick glimpse of my boyfriend taking a nap with one of our cats, a unique look or pose , a great sky with a beautiful cloud formation, an aha! moment of “oh I have to paint that!”
My boyfriend was checking out his Facebook page one day, and I happened to see one of his friends he went to high school with… he looked to me like someone out of “Lord of the Rings”. I knew I had to paint him! I asked the gentleman if I could paint him and he said “sure!” That’s how William The Sculptor came to be.
Many artists past and present give me inspiration as well. The old masters, artist friends’ work and a new web site. I come across all the time. I can’t get enough of art magazines, books and techniques on websites. Even just shopping for art materials gets me inspired.
