What are your goals?
The effect that I would like to convey with my work is a sense of fluid change. We tend to get caught in the physical or tangible realities of this world and are blinded to, or try to ignore the impermanent flux.
My goals with regards to these images is to bring that element of change to the forefront and confront the viewer with the beauty of impermanence.
What are you working on now?
The series I am working on now is called “Distill/Disintegrate”. This series exists along the spectrum of Disintegration. The images are snapshots taken as forms disintegrate and chaos comes together and distills into form.
Creating an image can can be approach by either the path of chaos or the path of form. The works approached from the path of form are images that are disintegrating, exploding, decaying. If the painting is approached from the path of chaos it is formed through the distilling of that chaos into an abstract suggestive form.
What inspires you?
Much of my inspiration lies in the observance of nature, Eastern Art and Culture as well as the strange world of quantum physics.
