I’m a Spanish illustrator and designer currently living and working in the Czech Republic. Vintage lover and vegan, creative and sensitive, I spend my everyday time doing what I love; art, travel, acquiring new knowledge, trying to make this life a better place and working on my body and fitness, my other passion besides art. My biggest treasure is my family, happiness and time.
Since I can remember, I have always dreamed of being an artist. My goal is to create new visual content and provide you with new experiences and sensations.
Since I was very small, I loved to cut and paste pieces from all kinds of magazines and newspapers from my house. I graduated with a Fine Arts Master in Restoration Degree in Easel Painting and Master in Knowledge and Management of Historical Heritage.
Around two years ago, I decided that digital collage was the direction that I wanted to go, thanks to a collaborative project, “Los Días Contados,” in which a group of collage artists created a collage a day from the same image.
Influenced by Dada and Surrealism, my inspiration comes from everywhere, but mostly from the greatness of the universe, nature, metaphysics, spirituality, esoterism, science fiction and mythology. Some of the artists I am inspired by are Joseph Cornell, Randy Mora and Eugenia Loli.
I describe my style as a mix of surreal, whimsical and kitsch. Some of the things that I consider during the process of creating a piece are the composition and the color scheme. It’s also important for me to make the collage aesthetically pretty.
I begin the process by scrolling through my digital collection of images. I choose one and I start to play around with it. I never know how is it is going to end up—kind of like improvisation.
Sometimes I have in my mind a very clear image of what I want to create and then I search for the correct pieces to put them together.
Right now I’m working on a personal project—a series of seventy-eight vintage collages for a tarot deck. I’m uploading a video of each piece to my new Youtube channel.
I hope to continue creating and inspiring for many years as well as reach out to more people who love my work. Without you this won’t be possible! Thanks a lot for your support!
