As I search for inner peace, I juxtapose soft strokes of muted colors with energetic vibrant hues, to create soft, yet powerful, paintings that are filled with light and subtle flows.
This combination allows for abstract forms that are powerful, life-affirming and which reward lengthy viewing with their restorative qualities.
My process is mainly a subtractive one, and is purely intuitive as I allow bursts of vibrating colors to emerge which resonate and expand in the depth of the image.
By adding very thin layers of glazes and washes, I create movement, pulsation, shifts and vibration between the physical elements to emerge.
My art evolves through distinct themes; at times they reflect my close relationship with Mother Nature and at other times they reflect my soul’s desire to run free. This part of my creative process runs deeper than just creating a painting. It is who I am.
I feel blessed and am truly grateful that my art has received multiple awards over the last two years.
These include eight awards in an international contest juried by twenty-five galleries and museums in the United States, a Silver Medal in Abstracts in a curated show at the Vatican in Rome, an Award of Excellence in The Healing Power of ART curated exhibit, and an Honorable Mention in the July 2016 issue of The Artist’s Magazine.
I have exhibited in New York City, in Quebec, Canada, the Vatican in Rome, and the Art Basel and Red Dot exhibitions in Miami. My art is available through the Beauchamp group of galleries, located in Montreal and Toronto.
In addition, I have been commissioned by a non-profit organization to paint special ceiling tiles for patients of the Montreal Ste-Justine Children’s Hospital.
