“Abundance” with its busy freeways of flowers is an oversized painting that encompasses the viewer and invites them to be a part of its surreal and intriguing movement that seems to continue beyond the limits of the canvas.
“In God’s Hands” shows that the earth, universe, and higher consciousness are interconnected. A verdant Earth lovingly held in God’s Hand surrounded by the universe initiated my style—Eco-Spiritual Expressionism. It’s why I must paint!
My paintings are a dialogue between photorealistic body parts and non-realistic forms of nature, pop objects and fictional places. It is a game between the real and the non-real.
Inspired by color and form I create a new vision of what was or could be by transforming any despair I feel or see into a new vibrant world filled with optimism and hope.
My art begins with photography and is then digitally enhanced so the picture resembles a painting or print. The majority of my work is derived from nature.
I love color, shapes and textures that exist in the bright and wonderful world around me. Using nature as my example, my works go off into playful, whimsical and lyrical flights of fancy.
My current series of paintings are portraits of social concepts and human situations as conveyed through my muse in her flowered hat. She sits within environments that incorporate both three and two-dimensional space.
My works are Geo-Abstracts. I like to accentuate the line, plane and color into a composition with emotions felt during development. Painting, wood constructs, and digital art like this image—always experimenting.
Inspired by New Mexico’s spirit, my goal is to travel to each county to capture in oil a body of work that represents the essence of the “Land of Enchantment.” Join me on this journey.
My work represents those things I love in life, in nature and in places that calm my soul. Join my adventures exploring foreign countries and vintage pieces that spark treasured memories.
Malala won the Nobel Peace Prize for seeing a new world. Paz + Arte is new word. Being creative makes a new world. Please visit my website, PazArte Project, and let me know how we can collaborate.
Although it may seem insanely bright, it is my way of bringing the best out of the flora and fauna around me. Each colour is important, and I find its the placing, in the picture, of the colour and which colour should be next to it, without dampening down its vibrancy, is key. So, placement and shape is all.
My art shall not only give the viewers aesthetic pleasure, but also strike a personal chord with them through history, culture and the hidden mysteries of ancient colors and scents.
My current project, has spiritual undertones. It depicts a generational and ethnically diverse group of feet, each reveals a different attitude. The final painting describes love in the humble act of washing feet.
Painting is a meditation for me; my mind is clear and focused only on the here and now—the paint and canvas. I draw inspiration from organic forms like plants and animals and from travels to other cultures.
I love the endless combinations of color, texture and pattern provided by mother nature. I hope to give the viewer a sense of place and emotion, while capturing the mood of the setting.
The landscape becomes a point of departure. From it I attempt to distill what is mysterious, ephemeral and often dreamlike—nuances of fog, rain and quickly changing weather, or the play of dark form/mass against brilliant light.
My interest in earth, nature, and the cosmos is reflected in my work. Using a positive perspective and vivid colors, I want to engage the viewer to reflect on how we respond to our universe.
I am a digital artist that uses soft, flowing images with luminous colors to express concepts and emotions. Mindfulness, spirituality and being in the moment is a strong concept in my work.
Utilizing acrylics, ink and metallic powders to explore my love affair with color and light, the end result, layers and glazes, allow the viewer to be moved by the depth and luminescence of these paintings.
Creating beauty is the heart and soul of my art. By weaving color, rhythms and shapes together I hope to bring joy to the eyes of the viewer.
I want my paintings to create a strong presence in a room. I want them to demand attention. I achieve that through brushwork, color and subject matter. Always bold. Never timid.
I’m inspired by old books and undeciphered scripts. The beauty of miniatures, the layout and colors of pages, the mystery of strange characters—this I try to capture in my work.
