I pride myself in creating paintings inspired by emotions and derived in my imagination.
I was born in Mexico City and have exhibited my artwork internationally in Mexico, London, Paris, Madrid, Munich. In the United States, my work has been displayed in San Diego, New York and Miami.
As a child, I was encouraged to pursue my love of art by my father, and eventually became a professional artist.
When I conjure up an object in my mind, I play with it in such a way that I create a harmonious flow where lights hit the object of my creation. This is what I am working to convey in my current painting collection titled Intertwining Worlds.
In this series, I seek to create objects that do not exist in our world. I extract an image created in my imagination, manipulating it and combining it with realism. This process is a continuation from a previous series I developed from the same universe.
As an optimistic person, I always tend to express moments of joy in my work. It is a personal stamp of who I am and what I want the world to experience when viewing my pieces.
Because I throw all my passion into each painting, I use a wide range of colors (which more recently includes reds and blues) to ensure the emotion I am trying to convey is translated. I do this even if it means I must explore new colors.
My artistic process can vary—either taking a long or short time—as I try to perfect the painting while using oil or acrylic paint. That is why ideally, I enjoy painting at night. It provides a sense of calm and quiet, allowing me to pull all my emotions out without distraction.
Growing as an artist day by day has motivated me to continue to learn various techniques. My heart continues to grow in passion for my work.
As much as I love creating great art, I am also fortunate to network with art professors that encourage me to not limit my expression and to pursue teaching as well. I’m able to provide aspiring artists with what I have learned throughout my journey and encourage them to pursue their passion without limitations.
