I’m originally from Peru and moved to the U.S. about 45 years ago, settling in Atlanta 22 years back. My love for art started when I was a kid, inspired by my uncles, who were both talented visual artists. They often used me as a model for their oil portraits, which really sparked my passion for painting, especially portraiture.

 

 

I’m mostly self-taught, but about four years ago, I spent a year at a portrait art school, diving deep into charcoal drawing. Since then, I’ve played around with different mediums—graphite, charcoal, pastels, and colored pencils—but I’ve found my true love in acrylic painting.

 

 

These days, I’m really into contemporary themes, especially in abstract and figurative portraiture. I love using vibrant colors and diverse shapes to create dynamic compositions. I focus a lot on how color and shape interact, aiming to create a sense of space and depth in my work.

 

 

My goal is to make pieces that evoke curiosity, presenting human and animal figures in fresh and exciting ways. Each artwork invites viewers to reflect and see familiar forms from a new perspective, blending elements of abstraction, geometry, and fauvism.

 

 

I’m drawn to bright, vivid colors and imagine my paintings showcased on white walls, where the colors can truly pop. My style sits at the crossroads of different movements, merging the expressiveness of portraiture with abstraction and expressionism.

 

 

I’ve had the pleasure of exhibiting my work in various galleries around Atlanta, and thanks to my online presence, my art has reached people all over the world. I aim to connect with an audience that appreciates the blend of traditional and contemporary in my work. I’m always looking for new ways to engage and inspire viewers.

 

 

I consider myself to be very fortunate. I am surrounded by a support network that extends well beyond the canvas. My family and friends have been pillars of encouragement for me. They nurture my passion for visual art. Their belief in my talent and dedication has been a driving force in my life.

 

 

This inspires me to explore new horizons and push the boundaries of my creativity.
