Creativity and imagination have always been a profound part of my life. Art has always been how I communicate without words to explore connections that transcend traditional boundaries. Over the years, I’ve developed a unique artistic style I call MetaArt, mixed-media abstract paintings that serve as transformative portals to well-being.

 

 

Much of my career focus has been as a marketing Art Director, and I spent decades exploring mindfulness and human potential. Through that exploration, I understood that art can act as a gateway, inviting tranquility and transcendence. My goal with MetaArt is to create an immersive experience that brings a deeper, more profound connection with life through something as simple as a beautiful painting hanging in a space.

 

 

This meaningful premise expands the opportunity to use a contemplation technique with the painting if desired. By focusing on the details of the artwork, one’s gaze is drawn deeper, bypassing the analytical mind and allowing for a direct connection with one’s sense of well-being. It’s a simple yet profound practice that turns art into a meditative tool, a gateway to a more centered and peaceful state of mind.

 

 

My painting process is also meditative. I connect deeply with the piece’s energy, be it Unity, Joy, or Love, as I follow guidance over technique. The complexity of colors and layers of shapes creates a timeless and fluid movement that often surprises me. This unique visual appeal draws people of all ages, including children, notably those on the spectrum.

 

 

What excites me is witnessing MetaArt profoundly influence the space it inhabits. It’s not just about filling a space on a wall; it’s about creating an atmosphere that feels alive and supportive, one that fosters moments of quiet reflection. I love seeing that profound connection occur for the viewer. What drives me is witnessing the profound impact art can have as both an aesthetic object and a genuine partner in creating a balanced and inviting environment.

 

 

Often, I paint on physical doors complete with a doorknob. This represents the subliminal nature of my work for the participant to cross a threshold into a new state of being. I also create commissioned door paintings that are functional doors to meditation rooms or spaces for contemplation.

 

 

In many recent paintings, I have used sound from gifted musicians who create a music track specific to that painting. Thus, the painting becomes a visual and audial experience.

 

 

MetaArt is my way of sharing beauty and well-being with the world, one space at a time. It feeds my journey to find peace and understanding and contribute to society to do the same.
