As a Minnesota-based landscape and travel photographer, I have always been captivated by the beauty of the world around me. My journey into photography began with a deep appreciation for the diverse landscapes and cityscapes that define our environment. Over time, this passion evolved into a commitment to capturing these scenes in ways that resonate with viewers on an emotional level.

 

 

My creative process often starts with an image painted in my mind. I spend weeks, sometimes months, contemplating a prospective shot, viewing it from various angles and perspectives.

 

 

Once I have a clear vision, I set out to capture it, aiming to create images that evoke memories and dreams. This methodical approach allows me to produce work that deeply touches emotions and connects with people.

 

 

My work encompasses landscapes, cityscapes, architectural, and nature photography. I have been fortunate to see my images used commercially by a range of clients, from financial services firms to local businesses like ice cream shops.

 

 

Notably, The Basilica of St. Mary has utilized my work to communicate their vision and values. Additionally, book, magazine, and calendar publishers have featured my photographs in their publications and on their covers. It’s always a privilege to know that my work enhances the décor of many fine homes.

 

 

One of the most rewarding aspects of my career is teaching others. I offer private, one-on-one photography lessons, aiming to help aspiring photographers see, experience, and capture the world in its most glorious light. It’s fulfilling to witness others develop their skills and find their unique voice in the art of photography.

 

 

Throughout my journey, I have been honored with various awards and recognitions. My work has been featured in galleries and exhibitions, and I have received accolades such as “Best in Show” at the Eagan Photo Contest. These honors serve as a testament to the dedication and passion I pour into my craft.

 

 

In essence, my photography is about more than just capturing images; it’s about conveying the beauty and emotion of the world around us.

 

 

I strive to create pieces that not only depict a scene but also tell a story, evoke a feeling, and inspire those who view them. It’s a journey of continuous learning and exploration, and I am grateful for every moment of it.
