My photographic art is inspired by and most often of the ocean and coastal life. I am best known for my black and white work, which Shutterbug Magazine described as, “His monochrome images soar off the screen with crescendos that almost let you hear the surf and be swept along with it.”

 

 

You will also find color photographs in my portfolios, as subject and mood will dictate whether my image will be B&W or color.

 

 

I have spent my life in the arts, as a professional musician, and as a writer, before dedicating my creativity to photography. I found it interesting that a recent magazine review of my work wrote that my photographic art possessed a “musical nature”.

 

 

I also publish a 4-time award winning monthly email art newsletter that highlights my latest work, activity in galleries and other art-related news.

 

 

A great deal of my work is created on Cape Cod; the Cape is a very special place. It has an amazing warm light that I love to work with and capture – and in general has a “vibe” that I can’t find anywhere else. I find it comfortable, yet inspiring; a never-ending source for my eye and mind whether it’s a cold February morning or a sizzling August afternoon.

 

 

In addition to my coastal photography, I attend and take a photojournalistic look at the annual SXSW event in Austin, working to capture the unique atmosphere of this event and the very cool surroundings of Austin itself.

 

 

I have found effective marketing to be a key piece of the artistic puzzle of successfully getting one’s work in front of as many eyes as possible. It is vital in creating art sales and my extensive business and marketing background provides me with the tools to effectively use social media, printed materials, my website along with other sites, and networking to do so. I am committed to getting my work seen by as many people as possible.

 

 

My work has been featured in widely read publications such as Shutterbug Magazine, Cape Cod Life, Provincetown Gallery Guide, and Still Point Arts Quarterly, as well as being shown on airport billboards, websites, art blogs, newspapers, and calendars and included in private and corporate collections.

 

 

My work is shown in galleries in New England, nationally, and virtual and has been featured by the Office of Massachusetts Travel and Tourism.
