Sarah McBride – My painting empowers me. I strive to reproduce life as accurately as possible. I am an avowed realist. The pleasure in my art comes from the challenges of perfection.

 

 

Barbara Dow – My painting of Aspen trees was inspired upon a visit to Colorado one Autumn day. The piece was done in oils. My style leans toward impressionism, and my colors convey a feeling of happiness to be amongst these shimmering beauties.

 

 

Karin Cohen – I seek to enhance a subject’s natural beauty, using color and texture… to express my artistic vision, I believe I need to put my own version down on canvas.

Diane Sinclair – I painted this portrait to raise funds for the Wildcat Haven, a project aimed at protecting and conserving genetically pure Scottish Wildcats in the West Highlands of Scotland. The original painting is sold and 30% of the proceeds were donated to Wildcat Haven.

Basya Cohen – The title of this painting is “A Sign.” The story behind the painting: When butterflies start landing on the dried flower stalks in her garden, Monique is amazed and delighted. She takes this phenomenon as a sign that her friend is safe.

 

 

Nimue Fichtenbauer – I simply adore tigers! This special one was inspired by Kiesza’s song “Hideaway.” Bluish & turquoise colors create a flowing impression, next to conveying a refreshing quality. Just how the perfect hideaway should be.

 

 

Karen Keough – The Ocean brings me great strength and peace. Being outdoors with nature brings out the best in me, where better to paint! “Clouds” is a pastel work, with inspirations from Naples, Florida.
