Painting is my main food of my life. I find my balance in creativity. I have been a professional painter for a long time, working on non-figurative and figurative works mainly inspired by light and nature. I cannot get bored with it; it is not only my work but also my way of life.

 

 

In my series “Etats d’âme nature” I express my utopist vision of nature. As a child discovering the joy of gardening with my mother in a beautiful place near the Bay de Somme, in Picardy, North of France, I was moved by the sun, the wind, and the perfumes of nature.

 

 

My creative process always sparks from a moment, a place or a sight, which touches me. Sometimes it is the light on a plant or the subtle perfume of a rose that brings me to the easel with the fever of creation. Then I work. The painting becomes an obsession that takes over my mind, sometimes for many weeks. It becomes a dialogue between me and the canvas.

 

 

I am attracted to it until everything becomes clear and obvious and I know what details to get rid of or what to add. Then, it is done. I am happy and I can start another subject, another journey.

 

 

Nature is perfect; look at it carefully and you will see a wonderful world. I do not want to try to create something more beautiful, I just want to create bridges that can take one on an emotional journey where everything feels better thanks to the power of this perfection. It’s like going back into childhood and feeling the bliss of the never-ending summer.

 

 

I have developed my artistic techniques by working on both figurative and abstract paintings. This is why I qualify my work as “abstract impressionism.”

 

 

By expressing my inner self, I wish to raise awareness about how important it is to take care of our natural environment, to respect nature, and to see how frail and precious nature’s marvels are. I love to transmit my passion, and to let my optimism and joy live throughout my paintings, so I turn the blank space of a canvas into a place of wellbeing where my public and I can share a vision of nature.

 

 

My goal is to never stop creating. I truly love this job, and rejoice about the fact I have many projects and exhibitions currently going on in Europe. My works are spread in private collections around the world, and I hope I will exhibit in the United States very soon, too.
