My collections are full of inspiration from the colours around me in nature and in travel. Along the journey I discovered my love for silk painting—exquisite pieces blurring the line between art and fashion.

Shield Me is from the series, “Will They Know I Was Here?” By layering multiple photographs together, I aim to both document and create a transient reality of strangers on the street.

 

 

Jayme Mansfield

My floral abstractions are an expression of my most real and complete self. Immense freedom, connection and peace result when brush and paint are laid to canvas and paper.

 

 

Ken Clark

I like to paint landscapes, seascapes, still lifes and animals. My preference for medium is oils. The technique that seems to be evolving from me is somewhat impressionistic or abstract realism.

 

 

Jennifer McKinnon

Using dumpsters as my muse, I photograph these unlikely subjects and transform my images into pieces of art inspired by nature—the beach, a storm, spring blooms, or in this case, minerals and gemstones.

 

 

Doris Vasek

My work is inspired by nature. Oil with cold wax medium gives me the perfect way to express nature in a loose and slightly abstracted way.

 

 

Elise Pittelman

This is the first painting in a series called The Borscht Belt, which pays tribute to the Catskill Mountain hotels and bungalow colonies of the “Jewish Catskills.” This phenomenon has all but disappeared.

My practice as an artist is ever evolving. To me, art means freedom to create without boundaries—to finish with a product of my own, which feeds my soul.

I work in acrylic in a representational but abstracted style. This allows the color and image to attract the mind and eye, with an expressive application of paint to celebrate the best qualities of the paint itself.

 

 

Lindsey Darter

I have always been fascinated with nature and in particular, the world’s oceans and the creatures that inhabit them. I’m inspired by what we have learned and what we have yet to discover.

 

 

Lorna Hart

I have transformed my nature photography in “Twisted Trees” to embrace a dreamlike feeling for my series Nature Intensified. This series includes botanicals and landscapes in highly saturated and mystifying compositions.

 

 

Lynn Barber

I am continually inspired by the natural world around me. I create watercolor batiks, using a multi-layering technique of watercolor and wax. I am happy when I can bring a bit of nature indoors.

 

 

M Diane Bonaparte

Along the way I learned that photography would be an important part of the artistic process, either by itself or inspiration for other mediums. My Canon camera goes where I go.

 

 

Monika Harmund Csanyi

My work is representational with a little twist of impressionistic or abstract elements. I love to see things from a different perspective, a perspective which is also a part of our reality.

 

 

Osvaldo Buccafusca

As a digital artist, I explore the use of computers as a tool to create unusual imagery. My predilection is to combine my imagination with the potential of mathematics to create fascinating abstracts.

 

 

Pamela Tarbell

I strive for a variety of color vibrations and complex compositions. I am inspired by Kandinsky who said, “Color hides a power still unknown but real, which acts upon every part of the human body.”

 

 

Rhea Reeves

I use wire, thread, fiber and acrylic paint to create three-dimensional paintings that explore my personal contemplations of nature, community and connection. My goal is to ignite emotion with color and texture.

 

 

Rajul Shah

A career in healthcare and life experiences taught me the importance of energy that positively impacts health and well-being. This energy is shared in my artwork where I paint “escapes” with meditative layers of color and light.

 

 

Rick Citta

I often enjoy working with a variety of water-based products, especially texture pastes and metallics. I also extract a lot of energy and inspiration from irregular forms and shapes—textures from the surrounding world.

 

 

Vered Galor

My photographic collages are layers of my reflections and observations—whether personal, political or historical. Like with life experiences, my thoughts, feelings and emotions accumulate and get expressed in the artwork.

 

 

Tina Swindell

This is one of my many animal and portrait paintings. My purpose and inspiration is to highlight the beauty of God’s creations for others to see and enjoy.

 

 

Vincent G. Ferrari

My photographic subject matter includes landscapes, architecture, natural settings and humanity interacting with all of those entities. My hope is that the work I present will convey the same emotions I felt when making the images.
