I paint with light—an immaterial medium and an energy source of life on Earth. My camera lens opens portals to an intangible world of boundless creative potential and expressive possibilities.
Through my art practice I explore life as a fluid continuum of cyclical transformations where antithetical states of consciousness harmonize into dreamlike narratives. I shift notions of reality, reframing experience in a magical context.
The series Luminous Gardens (2018 – ongoing) explores our primal connection with the natural world.
Entirely created in-camera with no post-production alterations, these photographs offer a vision of the biosphere as a realm of enchantment. The use of the macro lens reveals sunlit flora in vivid detail bursting with color.
A spectacle of exquisite beauty seduces the senses, transporting the viewer into an immersive journey through otherworldly environments. The experience of wonder conceals complex layers of meaning, inviting deeper reflections into the nature of impermanence and the fragility of life and our ecosystem.
My personal vision is closely related to Eastern philosophy—a “system view” whose essence lies in the idea of the whole being bigger than the sum of the parts.
The dynamic interplay of opposite forces, the cyclical nature of a “thinking” universe animated by a generative charge. These are the concepts expressed in Taoist cosmology which are echoed throughout my imagery.
The principles of Zen aesthetics underpin fundamental aspects of my creative process. They are manifested in the pursuit of a spontaneous flow powered by the engine of imagination.
My curiosity is captivated by the inner workings of life and the subtle energies operating below the surface. Inspiration finds origin in a profound awareness of the sense mystery that permeates all things.
I experience art as a response to a primal impulse that gives expression to a universal lyrical language—the language of the soul.

Absolutely stunning! I have transversed reality and stepped into a cosmic garden of beauty and expression. Strings of harps played within my mind as I traveled through Nila Onda’s lense and soul. I will certainly be admiring these images again. Well done!
I found myself immersed in the detail like I was trying to look through the art but at the same time hypnotized by its beauty which gave me an uplifting feeling. Just wow!
