I am a full-time artist living and working in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
I was born and raised in Colorado and began my art career on our family’s vegetable farm. As a little girl I loved drawing with sticks in the ditch banks. I drew my family, the farm, animals, and of course lots of flowers.
My art is influenced by my Italian upbringing, the colors of the fruits and vegetables, and cascading flower gardens. It was in 2003, during a life drawing class in Scottsdale, Arizona, that my artistic journey took a defining turn. I was introduced to pastels. I loved the pure pigments and bold, vivid colors.
I’ve been fortunate to experience painting in numerous locations. One of my favorite places was painting at a vineyard in Tuscany, Italy. Italy brought me close to my family roots. Being surrounded by flower gardens, red geraniums, lemon trees, grapevines and food was so inspiring. I often paint scenes from that magical vineyard.
Living in New Mexico has also been inspiring. The sky is so blue, the sunsets are breathtaking, and the desert brings new inspiration.
My artwork encapsulates the Italian spirit of hospitality, cultural richness, and the warmth of shared moments over wine, cheese, and floral art.
La vita è bella (life is good).
