Working with wool is the perfect medium for me because I love the playful nature of the final pieces, the soft and fluffy texture of the wool, and since I’m so bad at sewing, I can sculpt stuffed animals!

A little over two years ago, I took a felting workshop and that changed everything. I was able to take my catalogue of painted shapes and transform them into soft sculptures.

She happily switches in between garments, accessories, home décor, installations and sculptures.

People seeing my paintings have said that they feel like they were right there in the scene, and that’s the greatest compliment.

I have designed and made everything from wedding dresses and costumes to my own line of children’s clothing. Just about every job I have ever had revolves around fabric.

My appreciation of the landscape came about almost imperceptibly while spending summers exploring the shorelines of the sheltered glacier-carved water ways of North Western Ontario and Manitoba.

Her wall works at first glance might be likened to that of a painting – an initial impression of color and form -but the viewer is usually confused by a texture unlike that in painting and is then sucked in for a closer look.
